What is GHK-Cu?

Glycyl-histidyl-L-lysine Copper Complex, in its natural form is a peptide found in the human body's plasma, saliva, and urine. Chemically, it is made up of a glycyl-histidyl-L-lysine molecule (where the monicker "GHK" is derived from), which is bonded to the Copper ion Cu2+ (where the Cu comes from), hence why we call it GHK-Cu for short.

Luckily for you, our peptides are created in a laboratory by our Pharmacists and are not derived from natural sources.

What Does GHK-CU Do In The Human Body?

GHK is commonly used as an anti-aging peptide supplement, to replace the naturally declining levels our body produce as we age. In particular a lot of attention has been given by the skincare industry, to aid with wound healing and maintaining youthful-appearing dermis.

Scientists believe that the GHK-Cu peptide stimulated the production of collagen, increases healthy wound healing, acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and antioxidant, as well as potentially helping to support hair growth.

The Science Behind GHK-Cu

GHK-Cu, or Copper Tripeptide-1, is a naturally occurring copper complex that has been at the forefront of anti-aging research. Studies have shown that GHK-Cu plays a vital role in skin regeneration, wound healing, and stimulating collagen production. A 2018 study published in the "International Journal of Molecular Sciences" highlighted GHK-Cu's potential in improving skin elasticity and firmness, making it a sought-after component in anti-aging formulations.

Statistics and Research Insights on GHK-Cu's Efficacy

The efficacy of GHK-Cu in anti-aging treatments is supported by a growing body of research. A pivotal study in the "Journal of Peptide Science" demonstrated that GHK-Cu significantly promotes collagen and elastin production, essential for youthful skin texture and wrinkle reduction. Clinical trials have shown noticeable improvements in skin firmness and elasticity among users of GHK-Cu enriched serums. Additionally, GHK-Cu's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties contribute to its overall anti-aging effects, as highlighted in NIH National Library of Medicine.
